Petronate Sodium Sulfonates are low cost, extremely stable and reliable products providing emulsification and rust prevention for a variety of applications. Petronate L, HL, H, and HH represent a series of natural sodium sulfonates that vary in average equivalent molecular weight from 430 to 540.   Common uses include emulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors in metalworking fluids, degreasers, wetting agents, rust preventatives, ore flotation, and detergents.

The acids present in Oxidized Petrolatum can be neutralized with bivalent metal oxides to give end-products a high molecular weight, excellent water resistance, and first-rate corrosion protection.
