Product Manager

At ChemPoint, we focus on strategic growth for our customers and suppliers. The Product Manager is responsible for managing, optimizing, and growing ChemPoint product lines in accordance with these strategic aims by interacting with our suppliers and utilizing the resources of a market development team. Product Managers make decisions related to campaign management, call flow management, product line strategy, and build product line content, collateral, and presentations. 


  • Build and maintain marketing plans, implement and monitor the team’s sales execution, and coordinate internal strategies for each product line. 
  • Analyze sales results and market information pertaining to product lines.
  • Create presentations which summarize marketing and sales results for suppliers. 
  • Act as a liaison and primary point of contact for ChemPoint’s suppliers, providing the first line support on product and customer issues. 
  • Coordinate industry team meetings and product line training, provide workflow and direction for Market Developers via campaigns, and supervise all inter activities. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business, or other related discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Key Account Manager and/or Market Developer, or equivalent strategic sales/marketing experience.
  • Excellent listening, telephone, interviewing, and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to engage with a wide variety of personality types at various professional skill levels. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel skills are required. CRM or other database experience and familiarity with web-based applications is highly desired. 
  • Consultative selling, problem solving, and negotiation skills; knowledge of pricing and marketing strategies; and customer and territory management. 
  • Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis. 
  • Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
