This essential function is handled by a Sales Manager who is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary sales team. Sales Managers are responsible coaching employees and helping in their personal and professional growth. Additionally, they focus on the execution of customer and product line strategies.

IN YOUR NEW CAREER YOU WILL

  • Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle for ChemPoint’s global sales team
  • Provide training to help develop sales skills and abilities within your team
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic planning to retain and grow global sales in respective industry
  • Define and refine ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations
  • Set sales territories, define resource needs, and collaborate with internal and external resources to fill those needs
  • Participate in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and acquiring new business
  • Align behavior and actions with ChemPoint’s culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating and supporting innovation, leading with courage, and having fun
  • Demonstrate job competencies and remain accountable for performance in your area of responsibility

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Sales and/or marketing experience with strong desire to develop professional career
  • Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business, or other related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong telephone skills, active listening skills, consultative selling skills, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills, is required.  CRM and/or other database experience highly desired
  • High energy level paired with curiosity and a keen desire to learn and understand business issues in a dynamic, aggressively-growing company
  • Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis
  • Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision making abilities
