BASF Caprolactone
Overview
BASF Epsilon-Caprolactone (E-CLO) is a colourless liquid with low viscosity that is used in applications such as protective and industrial coatings, polyurethanes, cast elastomers, adhesives, colorants, pharmaceuticals.
Epsilon-Caprolactone is used as an important building block in the production of poly-caprolactone (Poly-CLO) where it contributes to a number of providing high-performance characteristics, including hydrolysis resistance, excellent mechanical properties and low glass transition temperature.
Poly-Caprolactone (Poly-CLO) grades are used where the unique combination of properties including hydrolytic stability, excellent weatherability, good dynamic characteristics, and outstanding low temperature flexibility is desired.
