Elvacite Core Acrylic Resins


	Elvacite® Core Acrylic Resins are polymers or copolymers of methyl methacrylate (MMA) or other acrylic monomers. These resins are available as minute spherical beads and are thermoplastic. They are thermally stable up to 177-232°C (350-450°F), well above their softening range. Elvacite® Core Acrylic Resins include two primary grades: 4111 and 2016. These products provide resistance to numerous surface degradation conditions including ultraviolet damage, weathering, and abrasion. Their unique properties make them indispensible in a wide range of high-quality coating resins in solvent-applied lacquers, inks and specialty coatings. Grade 4111 is used in applications requiring low VOCs, often in combination with grade 2016. Appearance-enhancing benefits include high gloss, hardness, and water-white color and transparency. Compatibility with a variety of film formers and plasticizers permits further modification to achieve the exact properties desired. Elvacite Specialty Acrylic Resins


	Elvacite® Specialty Acrylic Resins are polymers or copolymers of methyl methacrylate or other acrylic monomers. Over 40 product offerings provide compatibility with a variety of film formers and plasticizers to achieve the exact properties desired. When used in coatings, inks and adhesives Elvacite® resins provide outstanding resistance to ultraviolet degradation, weather and abrasion. They offer high gloss, hardness, water-white color and transparency, and provide excellent resistance to water, alcohol, dilute acids and alkalies, chemical fumes and corrosive and oxidizing environments. A few of the common applications include concrete sealants, top-coating in vinyl fabrics and wood finish products, and printing inks. Additionally, FDA compliance allows for numerous applications in the food industry.
