Overview
SilGrip™ PSA6573A is a pressure sensitive adhesive that is provided as 60% solids solution of polysiloxane gum and resin in toluene. It adheres well to low surface energy substrates including polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, and fluoropolymers. During application SilGrip™ PSA6573A exhibits superior creep resistance and forms bonds with higher shear and peel strength than other PSAs at temperatures up to 400°F. SilGrip™ PSA6573A can be used as supplied or diluted with a compatible solvent to achieve a more workable viscosity if necessary. It can be applied using traditional coating methods and once cured exhibits low tack at room temperature but will become aggressively pressure sensitive at 200°F.
