Lowilite® Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) work by free radical scavenging to inhibit degradation of the polymer. Unlike UV absorbers, HALS are regenerated rather than consumed during the stabilization process. Their high molecular weight means they do not migrate easily and makes them capable of providing extreme long term thermal and light stability. Addivant's HALS portfolio also boasts broad food contact approvals, improved color yield in pigmented systems and resistance to acidic conditions.
