Preservation without Phenoxyethanol

Many formulators are challenged with finding progressive preservative packages that provide the efficacy associated with traditional preservatives. While Phenoxyethanol is globally approved, highly effective, and widely accepted, some cosmetics companies are trying to appease consumer demands. Ashland has a large selection of phenoxyethanol-free preservatives, aromatics with antimicrobial benefits, and preservative boosters.

All preservative options on this page are also free from Parabens, Formaldehyde-donors, Halogens, and Methylisothiazolinone (MIT).
