Trilene® EPDM For Water-based Coatings

Introducing the First Water-Based Liquid EPDM

Lion Elastomers has developed a unique liquid EPDM grade specifically designed for water-based applications including coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, and caulks. Introducing Trilene® 65D, an EPDM dispersion with cross-linking functionality. Trilene® 65D is compatible with a variety of latex resins and can be crosslinked with metal driers, peroxides, or UV light

What is Trilene®  65D from Lion Elastomers?

  • EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer)
  • 50/50 Ethylene/Propylene Ratio (45% Ethylene by Weight)
  • Water Dispersed
  • 55% Solids by Weight
  • Can be Used as a Tackifier for Adhesive Applications

When used in a formulation, Trilene® 65D imparts:

  • Excellent UV, Heat, Oxidation, and Chemical Stability
  • Good Mechanical Strength
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Zero Volatile Organic Content (VOC)
  • Improved Flexibility
  • Low Moisture Permeability
  • Adheres to a Variety of Surfaces
