This nonionic, water-soluble polymer is used to create products that are rich and thick from the container, but spread easily on hair and skin. Natrosol™ HEC is easily dissolved in cold or hot water to give crystal clear solutions of varying viscosities. Low to medium molecular weight (MW) types are fully soluble in glycerol and have good solubility in hydro-alcoholic systems containing up to 60 percent ethanol.

Natrosol™ 250 G Pharm
Natrosol™ 250 G Pharm is a high purity cellulose that acts as a thickener and rheology control agent, as a protective colloid, binder, stabilizer and suspending agent.
Natrosol™ 250HHX Pharma are extra fine grades for easier dispersion which are high efficiency, non-ionic, water soluble polymers used for thickening and rheology control where a glyxol treatment cannot be tolerated.
Natrosol™ 250HX Pharma are extra fine grades for easier dispersion which are high efficiency, non-ionic, water soluble polymers used for thickening and rheology control where a glyxol treatment cannot be tolerated.
Natrosol™ 250 LR is an off-white powder that is surface-treated with glyoxal, a pH sensitive material that crosslinks hydroxyls on the particle surfaces and temporarily inhibits solubility. This provides a pH and temperature sensitive delay, allowing the Natrosol™ HEC time to be dispersed as discrete particles before the particles begin to hydrate (swell and become sticky). Once the glyoxal crosslinks hydrolyze, which is typically triggered by raising the pH, Natrosol HEC will begin to hydrate and dissolve without formation of lumps or gels.
Natrosol™ 250 M Pharma offers thickening action, pseudoplasticity, stabilizing effect in suspensions and sustained release action for a varient of pharmaceutical applications such as sustained release formulations, aqueous suspensions and solutions, and liquid soaps.
Ashland Inc. provides specialty chemicals, technologies and insights. Their chemistries are found in a wide variety of markets and applications, such as architectural coatings, automotive, construction, energy, and food and beverage.
