Chevron Phillips Chemical Sulfides

Chevron Phillips sulfides are the preferred reagents for catalyst sulfidation. They provide extreme pressure functionality with low copper corrosion, are low odor and completely miscible with paraffinic and naphthenic mineral oils, and have low toxicity and volatility. These compounds improve initial catalyst activity and lengthen production cycles for NiMo, CoMo, NiW, and CoW hydrotreating catalysts. Sulfides, disulfides, and polysulfides are available in three series: 300, 400, and 500. Their primary effect is to provide low copper corrosion lubricant additives, refinery catalyst and petrochemical sulfiding, and versatile sources of high sulfur activity, respectively.
