Antioxidant; inhibitor; stabilizer
MTBHQ is a secondary inhibitor (co-inhibitor) and antioxidant. For nonfood fats, oils and unstable organic solvents, it's a highly effective antioxidant. In unsaturated polyesters, it's used as a storage inhibitor.
