DOWANOL™ PnP is a propylene glycol n-propyl ether-based solvent from Dow that offers fast evaporation along with a combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. It is a hydrophobic glycol ether that still maintains complete water solubility. DOWANOL™ PnP closely matches the properties of Butyl CELLOSOLVE™ glycol ether, mostly used in cleaners when fast evaporating glycol is required.
DOWANOL™ PnP also provides outstanding soil removal properties and an excellent coupling agent for cleaners, degreasers, and paint strippers. DOWANOL™ PnP is used in a wide array of cleaning formulations due to its fast evaporation and outstanding ability to solubilize organic soils. It is also an excellent choice in glass cleaners and all-purpose cleaners, alone or combined with other glycol ethers.
