METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is a medium molecular weight methylcellulose thickener. It yields a viscosity of 400 cP at 2% in water.
METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is a water-soluble methyl cellulose polymer with very high purity. METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is used as a thickener, binder, and film former. METHOCEL™ A4C premium will reversibly gel at temperatures above 55°C. Solutions containing METHOCEL™ A4C are thixotropic in nature. These properties make it an ideal binder for ceramics to boost green strength and a perfect thickener for easily spreadable paints, coatings, and adhesives. METHOCEL™ polymers have excellent stability to extreme pH and can provide viscosity control in both acidic and alkaline systems.
