METHOCEL™ F4M is a Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) thickener. At addition levels of 2 to 3% it yields a viscosity of 4,000 cP. It is widely used in ceramics processing, coatings, adhesives and chemical processing.
METHOCEL™ F4M is a water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose. Methocel products are used as thickeners, binders, water retention aids, and also function as suspension aids, surfactants, lubricity aids, and emulsifiers. Since various properties are present in a formulation METHOCEL™ is an economical preferred choice versus other polymers.
