TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is a high purity, granular sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. It is a binder, film former, and thickener used in ceramics and textiles.
TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is a low molecular weight sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). This granular grade can be added directly to water under moderate agitation to produce solutions with a viscosity of 100 cP at a 2% addition rate. TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is can be used to thicken water-based coating, ink, and adhesive formulations and will provide a moderate thixotropic rheology. TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is used as a temporary binder in ceramics to boost green strength prior to firing. TEXTURECEL™ CRT 100 GA is well suited for use in textile warp sizing. It binds well to yarn and forms a smooth, durable film that allows yarn to reduce friction during weaving and speeds up production. TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA has also been used in paper coatings where it produces films that are highly resistant to oils and grease.

Insufficient viscosity of water based adhesives and sealants
Damage to coatings and adhesives caused by exposure to oily substances and solvents
Damage caused by friction during textile weaving
Improving stickiness in water-based adhesives.
In batteries used as binder for anode components.
Offers stability during ceramic forming and in the oven.
