Thetaguard™ FA-1000 is a water-based fluorinated polymer additive manufactured by Innovative Chemical Technologies (ICT). It is based on short-chain fluorochemical technology and can be added to various formulations, including latex paints and printing inks. It functions as a wetting agent that also provides improved durability, cleanability, dirt and soil pickup resistance, and repellency. Compared to other wetting and repelling agents on the market, Thetaguard™ FA-1000 delivers a higher degree of performance due to its fluorinated chemistry. It is available as a clear to slightly hazy, translucent, colorless to pale yellow liquid containing 32% to 34% solids. Thetaguard™ FA-1000 will not interfere with recoat adhesion or water repellency of coating or paint formulations.
