Thetaguard™ HS-3012 is a low-VOC, hard surface repellent and stain protectant based on short-chain fluorochemical technology from ICT Chemicals. It resists damage from cracking, spalling, freezing, and thawing.
Thetaguard™ HS-3012 is a pH-neutral repellent and stain protectant manufactured by Innovative Chemical Technologies (ICT). It contains 12% to 14% solids and can be readily diluted in water for application to hard stone substrates, including granite, travertine, Saltillo, marble, quartz, quartzite, terrazzo, concrete, tile, and other types of masonry. As a partially fluorinated material, it cures in ambient temperature conditions, providing surfaces with protection against stains and repellency against water and oil, with little to no change in surface appearance. Thetaguard™ HS-3012 also imparts exceptional resistance to soiling, chemical degradation, and efflorescence. It also helps formulations resist cracking and spalling damage from freeze–thaw conditions due to its excellent vapor permeability. Thetaguard™ HS-3012 is easy to use and can be spray applied using a low-pressure trigger spray. Compared to other Thetaguard™ grades, such as HS-3035 and FA-1000, Thetaguard™ HS-3012 can be used in spray-applied formulations and is compatible with low-VOC formulations. When applying, excess liquid should be wiped up to prevent hazing from over-application.
