Overview
ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 is a water-insoluble ethyl cellulose polymer that is used as a pseudoplastic rheology modifier in solvent based formulations.
It is soluble in many common solvent types including aromatics, alcohols, esters, and ethers.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 is thermoplastic and can also be used to form strong, flexible, moisture resistant films in coating and ink formulations.
It can be dissolved in hot polymers and waxes as well to be used in heat seal and hot melt applications.
In addition, ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 is an excellent binder for applications that require good green strength and clean burn out like conductive pastes for screen printing circuits.
