Overview
ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 Premium is a water-insoluble cellulose ether thickener. It is soluble in many common solvent types used in coatings and inks including aromatics, ketones, alcohols, and esters. ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 Premium is thermoplastic and can be used to make flexible, strong, moisture resistant films. When added to a coating or ink it improves the gloss, flexibility, and scratch resistance of the formulation. It can be easily dissolved in waxes and hot polymers for use in hot melt applications where it improves bond strength. ETHOCEL™ Standard 45 Premium is also an excellent binder for applications that require clean burn out like conductive pastes for screen printed circuits.
