METHOCEL™ E15 Food Grade LV is a water-soluble HPMC polymer with moderate hydroxypropyl substitution (~10%) and high methoxy content (~29%). This grade complies with the most common Food standards. METHOCEL™ E15 Food Grade LV provides precise control of rheology at low viscosity and is commonly used as a thickener, binder, and film former in applications requiring food grade material. Due to its thixotropic nature METHOCEL™ E15 Food Grade LV provides solution with excellent lubricity and spreadability. It has outstanding pH stability in both extremely acidic and alkaline systems. METHOCEL™ E15 Food Grade LV solutions will reversibly gel at temperatures above 64° C and provide a dramatic increase in green strength that is useful for ceramic processes.
