BELLEVUE, Washington, July 30, 2004 -- In response to increasing market demands, Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings announced today the details of an expanded strategy to strengthen the company's marketing and distribution efforts for small to medium volume customers. Through an extended partnership with ChemPoint.com, the leading online distributor of specialty and fine chemicals in North America, Rohm and Haas will be better positioned to service and support this valued customer base.
The expanded partnership, slated to begin August 1, 2004, broadens an alliance created between the two companies in April of this year. Under the terms of the new agreement, ChemPoint will be the exclusive North American distributor to targeted accounts serving Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings' customers primarily in the General Metal Finishing industry segment.
The ChemPoint partnership helps Rohm and Haas build a more cost effective delivery of marketing programs, technical service and personalized customer support.
