EFOX® 20 is a clear, yellowish di-tert-butyl peroxide liquid. It is used to initiate the polymerization of LDPE resins for pipe-type and autoclave processes and copolymerization of acrylate and methacrylate resins.
EFOX® 20 is a di-tert-butyl peroxide solution (CAS No. 110-05-4) formulated by AKPA for use as an initiator in resin applications. It is mainly used in the production of LDPE resins using pipe-type and autoclave processes, exhibiting reliable performance and stability. It is effective for polymerization and copolymerization of styrene between 95°C and 185°C. It may also be used at 130°C to 175°C for acrylate and methacrylate copolymerization. EFOX® 20 has an active oxygen content of 10.83%.
