Ti-Pure™ R-105 titanium dioxide is a fine, white, dry powder designed for outdoor plastic applications, combining neutral undertone with moderate opacity strength for easy color formulation work. Ti-Pure™ R-105 chloride-processed titanium dioxide provides excellent durability and weathering resistance due to its optimized SiO2 encapsulations It features medium opacity and has a neutral undertone.
Ti-Pure™ R-105 rutile TiO2 utilizes silica encapsulation technology to minimize interation of the titanium dioxide surface with the surrounding environment. This technology decreazes chalking, crazing, and other surface deterioration normally observed in outdoor applications. At the same time, Ti-Pure™ R-105 surface treatment also is optimized for dry flow conveyability and dispersion with plastics.
Ti-Pure™ R-105 offers durability due to it's optimized SiO2 encapsulation. The SiO2 layer act as a barrier to prevent the surface from the titanium dioxide from reacting with the polymer or additives. This is relevant where the UV energy absorbed by the TiO2 particle may induce photocataslyti reactions.
