Ti-Pure™ TS-6200 is a chloride-processed titanium dioxide pigment used in automotive coatings, coil coatings, durable industrial coatings, and fluorinated polymer coatings.
TiO2 TS-6200 offers excellent gloss retention, by controling resin chemistry and the inherent durability of TiO2 pigment employed in the coatings. Also Ti-Pure™ TS-6200 titanium dioxide offers exceptional durability via the usage of an advanced silica coating technology that gives maximum resistance to photocatalytic degradation. Moreover, chalking and colour fade are two common reason for consumer dissatisfaction with durable coatings, both are caused by the degradation of organic binder from the film surface, which leaves loosely attached by TiO2 particles on the coating surface. This not only imparts a chalky appearance to the coating, but also leads to color fade resulting from exposed Titanium dioxide particles scattering light away from the film before it can interact with the colored pigments.
Superior dispersability is also offered by Ti-Pure™ TS-6200 titanium dioxide by its unique surface chemistry which results in some cases laborious, multi-step grinds to be reduced to a single, fast grind.
Lastly, TS-6200 TiO2 needs as little as one fourth the dispersant load of other super durable pigments which leads to cost savings.
