Widely used in the extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons and to purify natural gas, Sulfolene has also proven to be effective in separating high purity aromatic compounds from hydrocarbon mixtures using liquid-liquid extraction. Such a process is mostly used in refineries and the petrochemical industry.Furthermore, Sulfolane A can be usedin the pharmaceutical industryas an intermediate or process solventdue to the good thermal stability, miscibility in water, high boiling point and versatility. At the same time Tetramethylene Sulfolene is used for the production of Jet Print Ink, in ink composition and direct printing.Last but not least Sulfolane A is also used as a solvent in Lithium Batteries between the anodes.
