Applications
JEFFSOL® MCH is an environmentally friendly aliphatic solvent and is widely used for replacing more toxic aromatic solvents such as toluene. JEFFSOL® MCH may be used as purification solvent in the synthesis of many chemicals such as pharmaceutical and agrochemical actives. JEFFSOL® MCH may be used in the manufacturing of rubbers, dyes, coatings, paints, inks, varnishes, oils, fats and waxes, and also as solvent for polymerization reactions and various extractive processes. JEFFSOL® MCH may be utilized as an inert entraining solvent for azeotropic dewatering in chemical processing. The biodegradability and the very low solubility of MCH in water gives advantages compared with toluene.
