METHOCEL™ 254 S Industrial is a modified hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose polymer developed to be used as a thickener & rheology modifier in the construction industry.
METHOCEL™ 254 S Industrial is designed mainly for use in plasters both manually and spray
applied. Besides good thickening efficiency, the product imports good workability to
plasters and enhances water retention considerably. Another application area is in
cement-based tile adhesives. The selected particle size distribution guarantees quick
dissolution. The pH of the formulation has no influence on the rate of dissolution. The
product is compatible with all mineral binders.

It imparts well-balanced properties to cement-based tile
adhesives, e.g.
• open time
• slip resistance
• adhesion and shear strength according to different storage conditions.
It also imparts good workability and enhances water retention. The selected
particle size distribution guarantees quick or lump free dissolution. It is compatible
with all conventional mineral and organic binders.
