TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 is a high purity sodium carboxymethyl cellulose powder. It is an excellent temporary binder for ceramic applications.
TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 is a high molecular weight sodium carboxymethyl cellulose polymer in a fine powder form. It has a lower degree of substitution than standard grades of TEXTURECEL™ that makes it more thixotropic. It's shear-thinning nature makes TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 ideal for ceramic applications. When added to ceramic slurries, TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 can significantly reduce extrusion pressure during manufacturing. It also improves green strength of the formed ceramic part leading to fewer defects. TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 is an efficient thickener for water-based formulations. When added to water at a 2% addition rate it produces solutions with a viscosity of 60,000 cP. The high molecular weight of TEXTURECEL™ 60000 PPA 07 makes it a great gelling agent and thickener for adhesive, absorbent pads, and gel pack applications.
