The antiaging active ingredient containing a 99.2% pure, proactive form of glycolic acid that hydrolyzes upon exposure to moisture in the epidermis. The high purity and lack of acid content of Glypure® GL make it ideal for cosmetic applications, as it minimizes the potential for irritation and delivers maximum product efficacy.
Glypure® GL moisturizes the stratum cornea to remove dead skin cells and alleviate dry skin and flaking. It can readjust the water percentage in the epidermis and increase the production of dermal matrix compounds and collagen synthesis in the dermis, stimulating cell turnover and leading to excellent rejuvenation, exfoliation, and hydration effects. This helps minimize the appearance of fine lines, discoloration, and dehydration.
Glypure® GL is recommended for use at a concentration of 5–10 wt%, although higher concentrations may be used in professional treatments.
