Rezilite® 888
REZILITE™ 888 is a reactive alkylphenol–formaldehyde resin that is excellent for use in solvent-based adhesive formulations.
REZILITE™ 888 is formed by the reaction of formaldehyde with a phenol derivative listed in 21 CFR 175.300(b)(3)(vi)(a). It can be combined with other phenolic resins to optimize properties such as heat resistance, open time, and the solids–viscosity relationship. Adhesives made with REZILITE™ 888 are light in color and resistant to phase separation.
REZILITE™ 888 is also used in polychloroprene contact cement to provide exceptional high-temperature performance and quick reactivity with magnesium oxides.
