SMD-31144
SMD-31144 is a pure alkyl phenolic thermoplastic resin that offers excellent tackifying properties for elastomer and rubber polymer systems.
SMD-31144 novolac resin in solid form is fully compatible with natural and synthetic rubber polymer applications. SMD-31144 has intermediate solubility, which leads to some interesting tack effects with a variety of elastomers.
The SI Group’s SMD-31144 tackifying phenolic resin offers a moderate softening point for use in inks that provides flowability, viscosity, pigment dispersion, and adhesion of the ink on substrates. SMD-31144 phenolic resin is particularly suited to the plied-up construction of tires and other mechanical rubber goods.
