SP-1044
SP-1044 is a heat-reactive resin that is based on octylphenol and formaldehyde. The product is excellent for curing Isobutylene-Isoprene (Butyl) rubbers.
SP-1044 is excellent for use in curing butyl rubbers and elastomers. SP-1044, used in combination with halogen and zinc donors, yields butyl vulcanizates with outstanding resistance to high heat and compression set. Vulcanizates cured with SP-1044 are non-blooming, non-staining, and have high modulus values.
