SP-1077
SP-1077 is a thermoplastic phenolic resin that is excellent for use as a tackifier for synthetic and natural elastomers.
SP-1077 is typically used to increase tack in natural rubber and synthetic elastomers, including SBR, BR, IIR, IR, and EPDM.
Due to its high tack levels in rubber compounds, SP-1077 is excellent for use in the construction of tires and mechanical goods. It is also more effective at lower levels than conventional alkyl phenolic tackifiers.
In addition, SP-1077 provides tack in difficult-to-tackify compounds, such as those incorporating EPDM as part of their elastomer content.
