Petronate sodium sulfonates are low cost, extremely stable and reliable products providing emulsification and rust prevention for a variety of applications. Derived from refined petroleum, these natural sulfonates offer premium performance because of their similarities to the molecular weight distribution of base oils. This results in reduced treat levels. Petronate L, HL, H, and HH represent a series of natural sodium sulfonates that vary in average equivalent molecular weight from 430 to 540. Common uses include emulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors in metalworking fluids, degreasers, wetting agents, rust preventatives, ore flotation, and detergents.
