SPI Pharma Names ChemPoint.com Exclusive US Channel in Order to Increase Its Presence in the Nutrition Market

NEW CASTLE, Delaware, October 6, 2004 -- To increase its presence in the nutritional supplement market, SPI Pharma has selected ChemPoint.com to be its sole channel for this market. Under the terms of the agreement, effective October 1, 2004, ChemPoint will provide sales, customer service and order fulfillment for all US customers with nutritional supplement applications.

It is our intent to better serve our customers and the market through our affiliation with ChemPoint,” says Robert Johnson, General Manager of SPI Pharma’s Excipients Business. “ChemPoint’s unique marketing and sales approach will dramatically increase proactive contact and project responsiveness for this diverse market. By leveraging ChemPoint’s innovation, SPI Pharma will be able to better concentrate our resources on product development and technical support.”
 
ChemPoint will represent SPI Pharma’s excipients, carriers and delivery systems that are sold into the nutritional market. Brand names include Mannogem™, a mannitol-based polyol, and Sorbogem™, a sorbitol-based polyol as well as the entire Advantose™ line of sugar-based excipients. Also included are several specialized products like Effer-soda™, the Pharmagum™ delivery systems and Barcroft™ CS 90-L DC calcium.
