Overview
Aculon 72DA Offset is an advanced blended solvent formulation designed for medium- to heavy-duty refluxing, cleaning, and degreasing applications across a wide range of electronics and heavy-duty precision cleaning applications. Aculon 72DA Offset is an azeotrope blend with consistent composition, high solvency, low surface tension, and formulation stability with a 44°C boiling point. Aculon 72DA Offset is especially effective at removing greases, waxes, silicones, fluxes, light oils, medium oils, and fluorosilicones from metals, ceramics, and solvent-resistant plastics, such as PTFE, epoxy, peek, and PTFE. Aculon® 72DA Offset can be used to replace alternative, ozone-depleting cleaning materials containing HCFs, CFCs, HCFCs, TCE, or nPB while providing a low-cost, time-efficient option.
Features & Benefits
- Replaces 3M Novec 72DA Fluorinated solvent blend for cleaning High solvency Low surface tension Nonflammable High stability Enhanced removal of ionic contaminants Effectively removes medium oils, light oils, silicones, greases, waxes, fluxes, and fluorosilicones Compatible with ceramics, metals, and solvent-resistant plastics
Problems Solved
Ozone depletion for harsh cleaning materials, such as TCE, nPB, CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs Ineffective solvents or degreasing solutions Inadequate surface tension, leading to incomplete cleaning
Applications
Aculon 72DA Offset is an incredibly powerful cleaning solution for precision cleaning and can be used successfully across applications that require the following: Medium- to heavy-duty vapor degreasing Defluxing Electronic and heavy-duty precision cleaning Aculon 72DA Offset can effectively address and remove the following soil types from surfaces: Light oils Medium oils Ionic soils Greases Silicones Fluorinated silicones Fluxes Waxes
