HiTEC^® 30101 additive package from Afton Chemical is designed to provide superior performance for wind turbine gear oils. Through considerable field testing and OEM collaboration, HiTEC^® 30101 additive has proven clean-gear performance when exposed to challenging operating conditions of high oxidation and temperature, ensuring wind turbine gearboxes experience longer oil drain intervals. The performance additive shows outstanding wear protection through FZG micropitting and double length FE8 bearing wear tests to prevent expensive gearbox failures. Additionally, it demonstrates excellent antifoam and filterability properties, high- and low-temperature stability, and wide multimetal compatibility (including yellow metals), meeting the strict needs of wind turbine applications. HiTEC^® 30101 gear oil additive should be blended with HiTEC^® 30002 friction-reducing technology in suitable synthetic base oils. Ester fluid is needed in formulation to improve solubility and additive compatibility.
