Overview
HiTEC® 307 high-performance additive package is intended for blending wind turbine and premium-tier industrial gear oil. The additive provides long-term protection in wind turbine gearboxes to protect surfaces from micropitting and corrosion. In addition to its anti-wear performance, it delivers superior oxidation protection and clean-gear performance in industrial gear and wind turbine applications. HiTEC® 307 additive is compatible with a wide range of mineral base stocks, as well as some synthetic oils. Synthetic wind turbine lubricants formulated with HiTEC® 307 additive and polyalphaolefin (PAO) and ester oil blends can meet the lubrication requirements of SKF and FAG. Additionally, industrial gear lubricants formulated with HiTEC® 307 exceed the performance requirements of US Steel 224, AGMA 9005-E02, and DIN 51517 Part 3.

Problems Solved
Because of high vibration levels, variable loads, high speeds, and atmospheric exposure, wind turbine gearboxes are susceptible to micropitting, corrosion, and wear without adequate lubrication. This can cause short fluid life, gearbox failure, and costly maintenance. Additionally, formulators can face challenges in finding suitable additives soluble in synthetic gear oils.
