Overview
HiTEC® 543 ashless anti-wear hydraulic additive package provides high levels of performance in environmentally sensitive applications, such as forestry and logging, where concerns of aquifer sensitivity exist. The additive package delivers excellent oxidative stability for longer oil drain intervals, reduced oil consumption, and fewer disposal costs. It also demonstrates improved filterability and controls sludge formation to protect critical parts with tight tolerances, such as servo valves and pumps. Its superior hydrolytic stability helps prevent corrosion and protects sensitive yellow metal components. Because of its cascadable treat rate, HiTEC® 543 additive can be blended for low-pressure systems. It is compatible with a range of base oils, including Group I and II mineral oils and biodegradable vegetable oils.

Problems Solved
Certain hydraulic applications have watercourse or aquifer metal contamination concerns. Some legislation also requires the use of ashless lubricants in hydraulic systems. These applications need high-performing hydraulic oils or various issues can occur, including sludge and varnish formation, which can impact system efficiency, shorten fluid life, or cause frequent drain intervals; poor wear performance, leading to component damage or costly maintenance; and poor hydrolytic stability, causing water ingress, corrosion, or inferior lubrication.
