Overview
AKPEROX® A5R is an MEKP catalyst from AKPA recommended for use with a cobalt accelerator to promote the cure of unsaturated polyesters at room temperature. Formulated free of phthalates, this catalyst is suitable for use at 1% to 2% in the production of composite materials that come in direct contact with skin or food contact, including buttons and water tanks. It may also be used in curing FRP resins, gel coats, and more. AKPEROX® A5R should be used at a temperature of 25°C or higher and has a shelf life of 12 months.
