AKPEROX® DCLBP is a halogenated diaroyl peroxide initiator used for cross-linking polymers like silicone rubbers at elevated temperatures. It is recommended for use at 1% to 2%.
AKPEROX® DCLBP is a high-performance peroxide blend containing 50% di(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)peroxide desensitized with silicone oil. It is available as a white paste for easier mixing and homogenization. This halogenated diaroyl peroxide is recommended for use as an initiator to facilitate cross-linking polymers like silicone rubbers. It provides working advantages by being resistant to inhibition by oxygen. However, it is sensitive to carbon black pigments, where it may generate polychlorinated biphenyls during cross-linking. It should be used at elevated temperatures above 100°C and added at 1% to 2%.
