AKPEROX^® L40S is a dibenzoyl peroxide dispersion from AKPA designed for use in combination with amine accelerators, such as diethyl aniline, dimethyl aniline, and dimethyl para-toluidine. Containing 40% peroxide content, this catalyst compound should be used at 1% to 3%, depending on application conditions and formulation properties. It enhances the curing speed of polyester and vinyl ester resins at room temperature, even in the presence of humidity and fillers. AKPEROX^® L40S can be used for filament winding and spray and hand lay-up of FRP and should be flushed from spray equipment using isopropanol, methanol, or acetone after use.
