AKPEROX^® LPT is a yellowish liquid solution of methyl ethyl ketone peroxide in diisobutyl phthalate. It is designed as a general-purpose curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins. With an extended gelling time and low water content compared to other ketone peroxides, this catalyst is ideal for applications that require prolonged working times in room-temperature or elevated-temperature conditions. AKPEROX^® LPT should be used in gel coat applications, reducing the risk of bubbles and cracks in resin surfaces. It can also be used in producing large parts and coiled tubing.
