Overview
Capstone™ FS-34 is a general purpose, VOC and APEO free, nonionic fluorosurfactant. Capstone™ FS-34 is compatible with resins of any ionic class and it is stable in acidic, basic, brine, and hard water environments making it easy to formulate into a variety of systems. Capstone™ FS-34 is used in very low rates, usually 0.01-0.1% actives, to greatly reduce the surface tension of aqueous formulations. This reduction in surface tension provides drastic improvement of wetting, leveling, and spreading of aqueous formulations. This ethoxylated fluorosurfactant is most often used in concentrated cleaning solutions, water-based floor care products, and aqueous paints and inks.
Note: All samples and purchases of Capstone for new projects and applications must first be evaluated for approval by ChemPoint and Chemours.

Applications
When added to water-based floor care, paint, and ink formulations at a suggested usage rate of 0.01-0.02% actives, Capstone™ FS-34 improves wetting and leveling leading to reduced surface defects like cratering, orange peel, and pinholes.
Capstone™ FS-34 is also used in cleaning products to improve wetting of soils and stains. penetration, and increase overall cleaning performance.
Typical addition rates in this application ranges from 0.01-0.1% actives.
