TrusTec® PRF Octane Blend No. 96 primary reference fuel meets the requirements outlined in ASTM D-2699 and ASTM D-2700 to determine octane rating. The reference fluid is a blend of 96% isooctane and 4% n-heptane.

Specific gravity at 60/60 °F: 0.6950–0.6970
Isooctane, %: 95.70–96.30
n-Heptane, %: 3.70–4.30
