Overview
LUDOX® HS-30FS is an alkaline 29% aqueous dispersion of silica with a particle size of 12 nm. This grade of colloidal silica is freeze stabilized with ethylene glycol to protect from accidental freezing. LUDOX® HS-30FS can be used as a binder in coating and adhesives applications to improve durability. It also improves cohesive strength and allows for increase soil resistance. LUDOX® HS-30FS is also commonly used to bind inorganic materials like metal and ceramic for refractory and casting applications.
