SYLOBLOC® 45

SYLOBLOC® 45 is a synthetic amorphous silica (silicon dioxide) antiblocking agent with an intermediate pore volume and particle size relative to other SYLOBLOC® grades. Being a silica-based additive, SYLOBLOC® 45 possesses excellent optical properties that allow it to provide antiblocking without sacrificing the visual quality or clarity of transparent films. Additionally, since it is a manufactured product, it offers higher purity than antiblocking aids produced by mining. As a result, SYLOBLOC® 45 has extremely efficient antiblocking performance. It is recommended for use in a variety of film polymers, including single-layer polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) and metalized PP. It performs best in films between 20 and 50 µm in thickness. SYLOBLOC® is easy to disperse, preventing issues with the optical and mechanical properties of film. It also helps provide slip improvements on the surface of films with a negligible amount of abrasiveness, given its high purity and hardness.
