Gum Rosins, Turpentines, and Derivatives

Grupo RB’s line of gum rosins, turpentines, and derivatives encompasses a diverse range of products derived from sustainably harvested pine. These products are used in applications ranging from adhesives to road marking paints to industrial cleaners. 

Grupo RB’s RESIDHERE brand contains glycerol esters of rosin, saponified rosins, and other rosin ester resins that increase adhesion and cohesion in various adhesive formulations, such as hot-melt adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and depilatory waxes. They are soluble in several organic solvents, exhibit good resistance to heat and yellowing, and are highly compatible with a variety of natural and synthetic rubbers. The RESIDHERE brand also encompasses resins used for road marking applications, where they offer low initial color, excellent tack, and high durability in terms of resisting heat and discoloration. These resins may also be used in concrete blends to decrease density. 

Grupo RB also offers terpenes and pine oils used as carriers, solvents, and components in several formulations. These products provide strong scents that make them effective masking agents for various odors in paint formulations. They are also used as ingredients in fragrance compounds, and when used as solvents, they offer good disinfecting capabilities that make them useful in industrial cleaners. 

The PLASTDHERE product group comprises Grupo RB’s plasticizers. They are phthalate-free rosin-based plasticizers that are highly compatible with natural and synthetic rubbers, perfume fixatives, nitrocellulose, and alkyd resins. They have broad use in applications such as glues, depilatory waxes, inks, and hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives.
