Overview
LyondellBasell Microthene® FA 709-00 is a 20-micron ultrafine spherical polyethylene powder mainly used as an additive in a broad range of specialty applications. It is a flow-enhanced version of Microthene® FA 700-00. Microthene® FA 709-00 has a small amount of fumed silica to reduce bridging and clumping. This polyolefin powder grade offers similar properties to polyolefin resins but in a microfine, spherical particle size, making it suitable for dispersion in aqueous systems.
Microthene® FA 709-00 improves the dispersibility of pigments and helps provide a more uniform color in the product. These ultrafine additives are compatible with various resin systems such as polyethylene (PE, HDPE), polypropylene (PP), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Microthene FA 709-00 high-density polyethylene powder is spherically shaped, which helps improve pellet flow rates and processability.
